It was a wonderful morning celebrating our WVSSAC Academic Achievement Award winners. Wheeling Park High School had three winners!
Congratulations to Kathryn Prather (Female Athlete), Grant Kenamond (Male Community Service) and Ryleigh Hicks (Female Community Service). Each of these students will be acknowledge prior to the AAA game today and have each received a scholarship from the WVSSAC. #

Wheeling Park High School will host a public Local School Improvement Council meeting on Monday, November 27 at 4 p.m. in Tech 1. Please enter at the Main Entrance.
We will share recent school updates and finalize our 2023-2024 LSIC goals.
Mrs. Dailer has spent that last two days with 11th graders. Her presentation discusses the value of strong SAT/ACT scores and their connection to merit-based aid. This presentation coincides with the release of PSAT scores that many 11th graders took.
Wheeling Park has partnered with Khan Academy to ensure students have exposure to the new digital format and master content for the 11th grade SAT Test Day.

Yesterday, during College Exploration week, WPHS counselors took over 40 Juniors and Seniors to Fairmont State University for a campus visit. We even ran into a few current Falcons, former Patriots - Natalie Frazier, class of 2022 and Quentin Velas, class of 2023! It was great to see some alumni thriving. #CFWV #CollegeBoundWV

Today, our school counselors took interested Juniors and Seniors to the Wheeling Chambers of Commerce College and Career Fair. They took advantage of learning about what's out there after graduation. Parents - make sure you are connected to Schoology to be aware of the different opportunities offered to our students.
